Data stays local unless you use Back up this guide. If macOS blocks the app, right-click Open, or use Open Anyway under Privacy & Security.

- Unzip the folder. Drag Left For You.app to Applications, or double-click it in the unzipped folder.
- This copy starts empty — no accounts or files are included. Choose an unlock code of at least four characters; a short phrase she will remember is better than 1234.
- If macOS pauses the first open, right-click the app and choose Open, or use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
- Use Settings for names and the Home letter, then add Contacts, Accounts, Files, and Steps. Turn on Lock editing when the guide is ready.
