Download Setup.exe and follow the installer. The app is added to the Start Menu under VaultApps. Requires Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11.

Windows installer (Setup.exe). Run it and follow the wizard; the Start Menu folder is VaultApps. First launch creates an empty household database — set an unlock code, then fill in accounts, steps, files, and contacts. Data stays local unless you use Back up this guide.

- Run LeftForYou-*-setup.exe and click through the wizard. Windows may warn that the app is unrecognized; choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Open Left For You from the Start Menu (VaultApps). Choose an unlock code of at least four characters; a short phrase your spouse will remember is better than 1234.
- This copy starts empty. Use Settings for names and the Home letter, then add Contacts, Accounts, Files, and Steps.
- Turn on Lock editing when the guide is ready so nothing is deleted by accident.
